ROW80 Check-In

This week wasn’t such a good week for writing.  Did three pages of Emily Swann on Monday but nothing at all on Tuesday.  The reason Tuesday was a writing bust was because I was too busy marketing and promoting Blood Addiction on Amazon.  My lovely husband is always telling me off because I tend to assume I can’t do stuff even when I’ve never tried.  And so it was with marketing; I just thought to myself ‘I can’t do that sort of thing’ and so I never tried.  But lo and behold, one day I decided I would try and now my book is in the top ten percent of the free books on Amazon!  I can’t believe it!  Okay, I haven’t made any money from it yet but everyone’s got to start somewhere.

But it not just the success of the book that is getting me excited; it’s my success.  It’s that little old me has successfully marketed a book at all!  I have totally surprised myself.  It opens up a new world because then I start thinking ‘what else can I do?’  My confidence jumps up and I feel I can achieve almost anything and that is really exciting.

  1. Yay! for the marketing success. While it’s not “writing” related, it is writer-related, so in my (not-so expert) opinion, it sounds like you’ve accomplished a lot this week. Sometimes a delay in one area opens a hundred doors in other areas, and it looks like you had a lot of doors to open. Best to you!
