My Favourite Books – Part Eight

I just know this book is a favourite with a lot of people so it should come as no surprise that the next book I’m going to pick from my list of favourites is To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee.  It’s another one of those books where everything is perfect; perfect characterisation, perfect setting and perfect plot.  The message of the book is never shoved down your throat but left for you to understand of your own volition.  And the idea of telling the story from a child’s point of view is inspirational magic which means the book never gets too weighty or preachy in tone.  A book that inspires to this day!
